Stop Enviva’s Northampton, NC Expansion
Cutting forests to make energy is a dirty business. Enviva’s Northampton, NC plant wants to increase production. This plant is less than 1 mile from people’s homes, churches, and businesses. Enviva already burdens residents with dangerous air pollution, dust, and constant noise.
North Carolina’s Dept. of Air Quality (DAQ) must deny Enviva’s permit.
Enviva Northampton has violated regulations for more than a decade. They’ve exceeded pollution limits. Now they want to pollute even more. These pollutants can harm your heart, lungs, eyes, and throat. High levels can cause some types of cancers.
DAQ must protect the health of local communities. Ask them to deny Enviva’s permit.
