Donating stock is a great way to support our work. Donating appreciated securities, like stock, you can provide significant tax savings. All while investing in Southern forests and communities.
Donating stock is usually done through your broker. Most brokerage firms require a letter of intent from you. Only then will they begin the transfer. Please request Dogwood’s transfer information to send stock! Otherwise, we may not be able to trace your gift back to you.
Your employer may double or even triple the impact of your donation. They can do this through matching gift programs. Many companies also match donations from retirees and spouses. Not sure if your employer matches donations? Check this list or contact your Human Resources department.

Bequests are donations that you include in your will. It’s easy to include a bequest in your will for Dogwood Alliance. How you do it depends on the type of gift and your personal charitable and financial goals. Every will is unique. We encourage you to seek the advice of a qualified attorney.
