Not many are aware of the kind of work Dogwood is doing to conserve the most biodiverse region in North America.I didn’t have the faintest idea that a mission driven non-profit would be doing something cutting edge and pioneering in the conservation arena and making the world a better place.

Emily was looking to work for an organization with a proven track record of strategic successes against corporations that cause the most environmental damages, and Dogwood was the natural choice. The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) released its long-awaited Biomass Emissions and Counterfactual Model Calculator and an accompanying report Lifecycle Impacts of Biomass in 2020 report. The findings from the tool and associated report confirm what U.S. and European ENGOs have been claiming for the last few years – that burning forests for electricity is bad for our climate.
